This small grants program makes a big difference for our agency partners. The additional dollars help them fund special projects, purchase needed equipment, and turn wishes into realities. The agencies are rewarded twice in this effort with both your generous time and with the Impact Grant.
The Impact Grant is a program created with sponsorship by the Philanthropic Ventures Foundation. These awards are given to a current Hands On Bay Area agency partner that has a project on our calendar to reward them for their continuing service to their community. Volunteers who compete for these grants are given the opportunity to present a grant to the agency of their choosing. It is an additional way to give back to the community in a meaningful way.

Summer Volunteering Impact Grant: 7/1 - 9/30, 2008:
The winners will be announced within the first part of October. For the grant cycle from 7/1 - 9/30, a volunteer or project leader can compete in either of two ways:
1. Volunteer with the Most Hours - $1,300
This award goes out to the volunteer (including project leaders) with the most amount of service hours between 7/1 – 9/30. Past recipients of the impact grant are eligible to receive this award.
2. Team with the Most Hours - $1,600
This award goes out to the team with the most hours accumulated between 7/1 - 9/30.
As a bonus, team hours will count double for Be the Change Day on 9/13. For more rules and information about team volunteering, click here.
