RESTORE HABITAT with The Land Stewards Program
Get your hands dirty and affect a positive change on open space lands. Volunteers for the Land Steward’s program aid Open Space Authority staff with trail maintenance and construction, habitat restoration, fencing, and cleanup projects in Santa Clara County. All training is provided.
Open Space Authority provides lunch (sandwiches and chips), water and coffee, and all necessary tools and safety equipment for the work day. (San Jose)
Volunteers should be in good health for moderate to strenuous physical work. Volunteers should wear sturdy close-toed shoes, long pants, and comfortable layers for upper body.
Volunteer minimum age: 18
