SPECIAL PROJECT! Annual Book Sale with Friends of SF Library

Friends of the San Francisco Public Library is a member-supported nonprofit organization that advocates, fundraises, and provides critical support for the San Francisco Public Library and related literary and educational programs. They provide the community with opportunities to invest in the success of the Library by donating funds or by donating time through volunteering.

Held at Fort Mason Center’s Festival Pavilion, the Spring Book Sale will feature over 250,000 books, DVDs, CDs, books on tape, vinyl and other forms of media in over 70 categories. All proceeds benefit the San Francisco Public Library’s education programs that promote literacy for children, teens and adults. Volunteers will help this huge effort by keeping things neat and organized. They will work alongside many other volunteers to help unload books and keep them displayed nicely and by catagory.

Volunteers should dress casually and comfortably. Snacks and beverages will be provided plus each volunteer will receive a voucher for $5 in FREE books from the sale.
