Description:
On Be The Change Day, volunteers will help maintain an organic urban farm at Alameda Point Collaborative (APC) . APC provides formerly homeless residents with employment and healthy local food with a garden, nursery, and youth-run nutrition programs. Volunteers will build raised beds, plant vegetables, dig, water, compost, weed, and many other outdoor gardening tasks.
Please wear comfortable clothing in layers, that you don’t mind getting dirty, and closed-toe athletic shoes or hiking/work boots (no open-toe or slip-on shoes). (East Bay: Alameda)

Volunteer Minimum Age: 12
- Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a supervising parent or guardian with an active HOBA account. Email goodforfamilies@hoba.org to register your child.
- Ages 16 to 17 must bring a signed parent/guardian consent form.
