Description: Be The Change Day volunteers will join the Golden Gate National Recreation Area's Trails Forever Team at Muir Woods, home to some of the tallest and oldest trees in the world. Help repair, maintain and enhance trails, and protect sensitive habitat.

Please wear comfortable clothing in layers, that you don’t mind getting dirty, and closed-toe athletic shoes or hiking/work boots (no open-toe or slip-on shoes).

Activity Level: High and physically demanding

Volunteer Minimum Age: 16

• Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a supervising parent or guardian with an active HOBA account. Email goodforfamilies@hoba.org to register your child.


• Ages 16 to 17 must bring a signed parent/guardian consent form.
