This program pairs volunteers up with children to conduct fun educational opportunities and homework help during the school year! Volunteers will engage the youth in fun activities set up by the project leaders at HandsOn. Harbor House is a Salvation Army transitional housing program for single parent families in recovery. (SF: SOMA) Logged in, but unable to sign up? Volunteer Minimum Age: 18 Please be advised the the cut-off time to register for this project is now 5 days in advance of the project. If you wish to sign up for this project after the cut-off time has occurred, please e-mail the project leader and provide your address and phone number. NEW VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS: As of 1/20/10 you will need to consent to a background screening before coming to the project. You also need to do the following: • Bring with you the certificate of completion for the on-line Sacred Boundaries Course: 1. Please visit the Sacred Boundaries link - http://uswchildsafety.org/moodle/login/index.php 2. Type in the Golden State Enrollment Key - gs (be sure it's lower case) 3. Once the training is completed, print out the Certificate of Completion and Code of Ethics and bring the form to your project. If you have questions about the course please contact beth@hoba.org and we can put you in touch with the Salvation Army. You will also need to fill out applications for one time volunteers, if you wish to continue, you will need to ask for ongoing paperwork.
