LEND A HAND at RAFT (South Bay)

Agency: Resource Area for Teaching

Description: RAFT provides educators with the tools they need to engage their students in powerful hands-on learning experiences in math, science, art, and technology.

Volunteers will assemble creative learning kits by turning industry materials that were destined for the garbage dump into fun, inexpensive, hands-on lessons for thousands of Bay Area students. 

Volunteer Minimum Age: 13

  • Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a supervising parent or guardian with an active HOBA account. Email goodforfamilies@hoba.org to register your child.
  • Ages 16 to 17 must bring a signed parent/guardian consent form.

This project is approved for volunteers with the following restrictions: Allow Pending Members
