RESTORE HABITAT at Baxter Creek

Agency: Urban Creeks Council

Description: Volunteers will be joining The Urban Creek Council in a fun half-day environmental restoration project at Baxter Creek Volunteers will be mulching, planting and cleaning up the shoreline along Baxter Creek. Baxter Creek has been a key community project in Southern Richmond as they have transformed a concrete gulch into a viable ecosystem. Please show up to the project wearing clothes you do not mind getting dirty, close-toed shoes, and layers. The project is light rain or shine. Please also be able to lift or bend and be able to work in a slight slope near the creek. Activity Level: Medium (East Bay: Richmond)

Volunteer Minimum Age: 16

* Ages 16 to 17 must bring a signed parent/guardian consent form.
