LEND A HAND with Village Harvest

Village Harvest

It's harvest season all year-round in the Valley of Heart's Delight!

Village Harvest is a nonprofit volunteer organization in the greater San Francisco Bay Area which harvests fruit from backyards and small orchards, then passes it along to local food agencies to feed the hungry. They also provide education on fruit tree care, harvesting, and food preservation.

Volunteers will harvest fruit from the trees of generous neighbors that know the fruit would otherwise be wasted. Instead it will go to local food banks and feed people in need in the community. Volunteers generally get to bring some of the fuit home after the project!

This is an outdoor project that involves light physical excercise. Volunteers will carpool between homes, starting and finishing at the meeting location. (Projects take place around the South Bay you will receive meeting location address in an email after registration.)

Volunteer minimum age: 14

  • Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a supervising parent or guardian with an active HOBA account. Email to register your child.
  • Ages 16 to 17 must bring a signed parent/guardian consent form and Village Harvest parent/guardian consent form.
