FOOD: The Richmond District Neighborhood Center

Thanks to our partnership with the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank, we provide over 1000 Richmond District residents with free produce and groceries each week through our volunteer-run food pantries. Volunteers will help to set up the Neighborhood Center's food pantry and pack grocery bags for the home-delivered groceries program. There is frequent lifting of boxes/bags that weigh between 5-50lbs, although most generally are around 25lbs.
*All pantries operate completely outdoors. 
Volunteers are required to wear a mask that covers both their nose and mouth for the entire duration of the volunteer time. We also will take folks' temperatures upon arrival with a touchless thermometer. As long as no one has a temperature of 100.4 or higher they can carry on supporting for the day. 
By signing up for this shift, you are agreeing to self-screen by adhering to the San Francisco Department of Public Health Guidelines and acknowledging that we may need to call you for the purposes of contact tracing. Out of concern for the safety of our community, if you have traveled or spent time with large groups of people for the Holidays, please refrain from coming to volunteer for at least 14 days.
