Are you looking for ways to support your community in this unprecedented time of public health crisis, social justice movements, and political unrest? With shelter-in-place mandates regulating how we congregate in-person, our world of service has been turned on its head, but one simple fact remains - thoughtful acts of service and reflection have the ability to unite people for good.
Digital Dialogues is a web series of facilitated discussions with volunteers, community leaders and HandsOn Bay Area staff that centers the issue areas affecting our communities. Topics discussed so far have included:
Hunger & Homelessness
Race Relations & Police Brutality
This innovative series of virtual discussions was developed and incepted by HandsOn Bay Area’s very own Youth Volunteer Council, who serve year-long terms to enhance their civic leadership skills and be the change they wish to see in the world.. These virtual convening spaces are dedicated to sharing, learning, and critically reflecting on the social issues that matter to each and every one of us.
Our next Digital Dialogues will take place on Wednesday, July 8th and is themed around the concepts of Privilege and Bias, and their intersection with our world of volunteer service.
Reserve your spot today and bring your passion for a better world and your commitment to your community. See you there!
