GARDEN: Alameda Point Collaborative

The Alameda Point Collaborative is a unique neighborhood located on 34 acres of Alameda Point. At APC, we work to end homelessness by providing housing and services to create communities where formerly homeless families and individuals can flourish. Fridays: Farm2Market Harvest, clean, prep and plant seasonal organic produce at Alameda Point Collaborative's (APC) 2 acre urban farm. Volunteers will harvest the produce for the farms' Community Sustained Agriculture (CSA) program. All of the proceeds the farm raises go to support APC's supportive housing community for formerly displaced families and individuals. Sundays: Ploughshares Garden Nursery Volunteers will help with general nursery garden maintenance like weeding, watering, planting, propagating and/or laying gravel or mulch. Various projects, like constructing a demonstration garden, are always happening at Ploughshares for volunteers to partake in.
