VIRTUAL: Nature in Your Neighborhood with Sutro Stewards
Project Overview
Develop your knowledge while having fun learning about plants! HandsOn Bay Area partners with Sutro Stewards to launch this virtual volunteer opportunity that occurs every 2nd Saturday of the month.
Volunteers will attend a virtual orientation with Sutro Stewards staff to learn how to identify Bay Area native and invasive plants and their impact on the local environment. After the orientation, volunteers will be given three-four days to complete their content and return for a final debrief and reflection.

Since 2006, Sutro Stewards mission is to build community, connect people with nature and protect and enhance Mount Sutro, one of the city’s wildest and most beautiful green spaces.
