GARDEN: Education Outside
Education Outside aims to change science education in urban public elementary schools by teaching outdoors. We spark children's interest in science and connect them to the natural world through hands-on learning in school gardens.
Help beautify an elementary school in San Francisco! Volunteers will spend the day at the Bret Harte Elementary School's outdoor garden. Volunteers will help install stumps and stepping stones, plant and mulch area for garden beautification, paint tops of garden beds, and assembly picnic tables for classroom seating.
May 12th & 17th @ Bret Harte Elementary School (Construction/DIY experience encouraged!)
May 13th @ Sanchez Elementary School
May 20th @ Commodore Sloat Elementary School
May 24th @ Malcolm X Elementary School
Age Minimum (with Adult): 16+, Minimum Age:16+
