9/11 DAY Meal Pack: Set-Up Crew

Project Overview

In observance of the 20th anniversary of the tragic 9/11 attacks, we invite you to support your community and join us in service at the Bay Area Meal Pack for 9/11 Day.

Support volunteer leaders are needed to help manage the 1,200 meal-packing volunteers packing 200,000 meals to be delivered to community members through the SF-Marin Food Bank.

You will receive a 9/11 Day T-shirt, meal and snacks for your shift, and a unique opportunity to develop leadership skills!

What Set-Up Crew Should Expect:

The Set-up Crew will be preparing the event space by moving tables, setting up equipment and filling bins with ingredients.

Pizza will be available after the shift!

Project Requirements & Important Notes

• In order to prioritize the health and safety of all meal pack participants, all volunteers at the meal pack are required to show proof of full vaccination upon entering the venue. A negative COVID test will not be accepted in place of proof of vaccination.

• Must be willing to wear a mask throughout the event.

• Must bring proof of vaccination, photo ID, and a mask.

• Must be able to lift 35-50 lbs.

• Must be able and willing to stand for long periods of time.

• Great role for folks new to volunteering and events.

Please do your part in keeping our community healthy. If you are immuno-compromised, at increased risk for severe illness, or feeling sick at all, please decline your registration to the event and register for a project at a less risky time.
