HELP OUT: Community Volunteer Prep Night with At The Crossroads
Project Overview
At The Crossroads hosts a monthly Volunteer Prep Night every second Wednesday of the month. ATC depends greatly on the prep work that volunteers do during our Prep Nights. Volunteers will prep supplies as a group so that our counselors are able focus their time to provide as much support to our clients as possible. About At The Crossroads
The mission of At The Crossroads is to reach out to homeless youth and young adults at their point of need, and work with them to build healthy and fulfilling lives. Our innovative model focuses on young people who do not access traditional services and are disconnected from any type of consistent support. We work with young people who others have given up on, who would not get help without us. We remove common barriers to service by bringing our counselors onto the streets, and shaping our support services around the needs of each individual client. Our goal is to help our clients build outstanding lives, not just lives of subsistence.
Project Requirements & Important Notes

We are located on Jessie St near Third and Mission. There is very limited street parking and often lots of traffic around our office. We recommend taking public transit or parking in one of the nearby garages. We are about 1.5 blocks from Montgomery BART/Muni Station. There are two hourly parking garages.

Please do your part in keeping our community healthy. If you are immuno-compromised, at increased risk for severe illness, or feeling sick at all, please decline your registration to the event and register for a project at a less risky time. For additional resources and guidance on how to keep yourself healthy, visit the CDC website.
If you are interested in signing up as a group, please email sarah@handsonbayarea.org. For a one-time $50 group sign-up fee, we can assist your team with signing up. Please note we are unable to customize our commUNITY calendar projects and are unable to increase the number of spots that are available. For groups wanting a custom project, please refer to our corporate volunteering program.
