Berkeley Food Network

Our Mission To help establish a foundation of good health from which all Berkeley residents can pursue opportunity, the Berkeley Food Network aims to provide an innovative, community-centered network of food sourcing and distribution to alleviate the problems of hunger and poor nutrition in Berkeley. Our Vision We envision a Berkeley that preserves and fosters its vibrancy and diversity; a city that demonstrates its values through how it treats its most vulnerable, including ensuring that all of its residents are free from hunger and have access to affordable high-quality, healthy food. Primary Roles To be a leader for collaboration among member agencies. To coordinate network-wide food provision services, including a food hub and a mobile pantry. To promote awareness about local food insecurity and pursue advocacy. To conduct research about food insecurity in Berkeley and best practices in food insecurity work, and disseminate findings to the network.
