Founded in 1985, the Alameda County Community Food Bank's primary purpose is to mobilize and distribute nutritious food to Alameda County's low-income residents. In FY99, the Alameda County Community Food Bank plans to distribute 10 million pounds of food which will provide approximately 667,000 meals to low-income people every month. 2555
