Bay Area Discovery Museum

The Mission of the Bay Area Discovery Museum is to engage, delight and educate children through exploration of and connection with the local environment and the diverse communities that live here. Located near the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge in Marin County, the Bay Area Discovery Museum is a one-of-a-kind, hands-on learning center for kids. The categorization "museum" is somewhat of a misnomer, as the place more often resembles a zoo: the facility is usually packed with children. Programs include art classes, nature walks, and interactive exhibits on topics such as electricity, water, and the ocean.
