San Francisco Unified School District - School of the Arts (SOTA) Alternative High School

School of the Arts (SOTA) is a magnet high school stressing visual and performing arts. There is a diverse and energetic student body reflecting the cultural diversity and socioeconomic groups of the Bay Area. Outstanding artists-in residents collaborate with specialized arts teachers to provide a preprofessional training program in the arts which allow the students to study at least two hours a day in their selected discipline. In addition, SOTA has a full academic program, including Advanced Placement classes, calculus, and physics.
