San Francisco Unified School District - Glen Park Elementary School

A member of the Bay Area School Reform Collaborative, Glen Park's theme is "Language Arts through The Arts." The language arts focus interweaves classroom themes featuring People, Imagination, and Environment. Activities include: school-wide Sustained Silent Reading (SSF), writing assignments and weekly enrichment activities in special studies, tutorials, visual and performing arts. Every student has computer access on a daily basis in the classroom and in the Technology Center. To promote integration in an academically enriched setting, students are regrouped for social interaction to experience activities that include language, library, literature, computer classes, visual arts, dance, and chorus. There is an English Plus Program.
