Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition

The Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition (SVBC) meets about once every month to repair and organize its inventory of donated bicycles. New volunteers often learn bicycle repair skills by assisting a team of more experienced volunteers. Children's bicycles are distributed in December along with helmets, often in the context of a bicycle safety class. Bicycles are also provided to homeless individuals throughout the year to provide transportation from the Alpha Omega shelter to places of employment and schooling. Tax-deductible donations of children's bicycles are gladly accepted.
