UpTogether is a community, movement, and platform working to highlight, invest in, and accelerate the initiatives people in historically undervalued communities are taking to improve their lives. We employ a Strengths-Based Approach to combatting poverty in the United States. This approach hinges on three pillars: Community – Promoting the role social networks play in helping people accomplish their goals and achieve long-term socio-economic mobility. Capital – Investing in members with unrestricted cash to improve their lives on their own terms. Choice – Trusting that people in undervalued communities know what’s best and can make decisions for themselves and their families.
