Children’s Receiving Home

The Children’s Receiving Home of Sacramento has been a safe place for kids in crisis since 1944. What began as a community effort by neighbors who has grown into a caring home for children and families who need support during some of the hardest times in their lives. Today, CRHS offers everything from preschool for youth who’ve experienced family trauma, to counseling for children in the community, to a place to live and heal for those recovering from abuse or neglect. At their core, CRHS believes every child deserves to feel safe, seen, and valued. Volunteers play a huge part in making that possible, your time, kindness, and willingness to show up make a real difference in helping these kids find hope again.
